Product parameter:
Article number | Name | Focal length f (mm) | Image magnification | Imaging Field of view (mm) | Incident lens diameter (mm) | Appearance size (mm) | Mass (g) |
970208 | MT-1 | 200 | 1× | ø30 | ø24.0 | ø40×32.5 | 43 |
970209 | MT-2 | 400 | 2× | ø30 | ø18.0 | ø40×32.0 | 42 |

378-008 | MT-L | 200 | 1× | ø24 | ø22.0 | ø35×32.0 | 30 |
378-009 | MT-L4 | 200 | 1× | ø24 | ø23.0 | ø35×30.6 | 30 |
Note: The ※ size 76.5mm of MT-1 and MT-2 is the size that meets the imaging field of view (ø30) (no netting). When designing according to the imaging field of view (ø11) of the camera with the imaging field of view (ø24) or 2/3, the target value can be obtained by inserting numerical calculation in equation (1) and (2) below.
Objective and imaging lens configuration
The VMU, WIDE VMU, and FS70 employ infinite-correction optical systems that use objective lenses and imaging (tube) lenses for imaging. The luminous flux between the objective lens and the imaging lens is parallel rays, which can reduce the image position changes caused by the semi-reflector, prism, filter, etc. When designing an optical system with an objective lens manufactured by our company, please use the above imaging (tube) lenses.
The company's long range objective lens can cover the imaging field of view of ø30mm(MT-1/2), ø24mm(MT-40/L/L4) when the imaging lens is configured according to the specified size. When the own lighting optical system or other optical components are inserted and the specified size is exceeded, the approximate size can be obtained by the following formula.
ℓ = (ø 2 - ø 1) f2 / ø (mm) · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · (1) ø 1: objective an exit pupil diameter (mm)
ø 1 = 2 · f · NA (mm) · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · (2) ø 2: incidence lens of the imaging lens (mm) in diameter
f2: Focal length of the imaging lens (mm)
ø : Imaging field of view (mm)
(e.g.) What is the maximum distance from ℓ when M Plan Apo 10× and MT-1 are used for an imaging field of view ø24?
According to (2), ø1 = 2×20×0.28
= 11.2 [mm]
M Plan Apo 10× focal length f = 20mm, numerical aperture NA = 0.28
It can be obtained from (1) ℓ = (24-11.2)×200/24
= 106.6 mm
When the distance is below ℓ = 106mm, the imaging field of view ø24 can be used to obtain the image without vignetting.
※ In the above specification column, the incident lens diameter of MT-1 is ø2 = 24mm and the focal length f2 = 200mm
The use of objectives and imaging lenses below the specified size has no effect on optical performance.
